Calling all entrepreneurs

Posted by derekbobo on April 27, 2009

As an aspiring entrepreneur I’m constantly reading about neat companies and the steps they took to get there. One question I usually have a hard time answering is how people meet. What I mean is what events transpired to bring people with complimentary skillsets together? For me it sometimes seem futile.

So this is my calling to all the entrepreneurs out there. If you’re in the process of launching a new business or initiative tell us about it. What is it you do and what drives you? Plug yourself a bit… if nothing else it will be link candy back to your business, but who knows maybe you’ll find someone or something that is able to drastically shape your endeavor.

If you’re an existing entrepreneur, what’s your story? What lead to you creating your offering? If you’re in some sort of a partnership what brought you together with the other stakeholders?

Well, I started Midwest Audit (www.midwestaudit.com), a bookkeeping and audit consulting business in 2008 after the company I worked for went bankrupt.

I always wanted to be in the business and this was my opportunity. I have over 25 years’ experience in accounting and auditing, and wanted to put my skills to good use. I have expertise in internal audit, audits of large construction projects, compliance audits, financial/operational audits and so on.

I have been actively networking all possible, relevant sources out there to help me grow and establish in this fine business. I am looking for all genuine leads for new accounts.

Please contact me at “solutions@midwestaudit.com”. Thank you.

Very cool and congratulations on your success. It’s funny how it sometimes takes an unfortunate event (such as a company going bankrupt) to force our hand. Did it make you wish you would have started your own company much sooner?
